To the mountains, I'll find peace there

GLENWOOD
Driven about 320 miles.

The water is the highest I've ever seen in the Colorado. This is terrifying and wonderful all at once.

Through two of the albums made for me. One made me cry more than once.

Eating a late breakfast and then back on the road.

I'd be safe and warm, if I was in LA...

The itch for departure has begun. I'm feeling restless and ready, in a nervous, jangly way. It's nice to know that I'm getting there. There are only so many more things that I have to do at home and for the most part, I only need a small amount of each day to be spent productively. Two more days to go; then I get what I want.

In the past few days, a large amount of music has come my way. I had petitioned my friends to make a disc for my great American Road-Trip, just like what was made for Orlando Bloom's character in the film, Elizabethtown. There has been a veritable out-pouring of amazing stuff. I have a total of sixteen discs so far. Others have been promised to me along the way. I haven't let myself listen to a single note (with one exception; what was to be the New Mexico disc, but I'm not going through there on my itinerary anymore). I have music for a morning, for rain, for my departure from Denver, for the Salt Flats of Utah, for my departure from LA. And then there's just a lot of good cruising music.

Gigi dog is going to live with Ian for the three weeks I'm away. This is great, since both of them seem to get on well. It's a wonderful test-run for Ian to see if being a dog parent is something he wants to do.

I am off to watch Firefly. I started watching the series a few days ago. I'm hooked.
